This 50-story tower is situated in one of the most heavily foot-trafficked parts of Manhattan and has an unpredictable wind environment due to the density of nearby high-rise structures. The client was keen to minimize disturbance to major ground-floor commercial tenants and pedestrians, imposing stringent restrictions on our equipment footprint.

Our lightweight equipment footprint ensures that the work poses minimal risk to the building exterior and pedestrians. Our daily setup and takedown procedures ensure minimal impact to the building’s appearance or disturbance to commercial tenants. Existing alternative rigging methods, drones, and boom trucks pose much higher safety risks and impact to pedestrians and tenants. Our low payload weight delivers very high safety factors (20X) in all structural and safety-critical systems. Our redundant rigging and hoisting mechanisms ensure that hoisted sequipment can always be safely removed from the side of the building even without electric power.
